Gretel Trapped in Dark Forest (portrait shoot)

I have a final coming up this friday for my editorial hair and make-up class.  My inspirations came from the dark forest and when I went shopping to find a top for the shoot I came across a dress that reminded my of the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel.  I could resist buying the dress and decided to incorporate the fairy tale dress and create my own version of a Dark, yet playful and innocent Gretel 🙂 Here are a few of my inspiration pictures for that shoot…

Fabulous Finds Friday!!!!!!!

Today is our fabulous find friday’s.

I went thrift store shopping and found a few great pieces to add to my closet… 🙂 Now, I know a lot of you probably don’t like searching for clothes at thrift stores, but you can find some really great pieces. Alex White has got to be one of my favorite fashion stylist, if not favorite.  She has an amazing eye for color, style, and a way to capture a look and feeling.  When she left W magazine I was heart-broken 😦 I looked forward to seeing her editorials in the magazine every month. When I see her editorials now in other magazines, I can’t help but want to work harder on perfecting my craft, to get as good as she is. Here are a few of her editorials that I absolutely love…

Inspirations… Nature

Nature is one of the best places to get inspiration from. You can find some amazing color schemes, patterns, textures, and shapes.  Keep your eyes open and take pictures of things that inspire you, they can become useful in the future. The photos can also be great enough to frame and put around your place 🙂 Here are some photos I have taken of elements in nature that have inspired me in some way…

Final Video of latest shoot…In Graveyard

Here is the final video of mine and Jeff’s last shoot. We wanted an all white color scheme, to portray an angelic look.  We also wanted a lot of textured fabrics to give the all white color scheme a little kick. We want you to think of an innocent  angelic young lady, yet feel the pain she has hidden inside her.  Check out the video…
